This section was established by Ministerial Decree No. 891 dated 08.21.1988 regarding the issuance of bylaws Higher Institute of the civilizations of the ancient Near East at the University of Zagazig. It was the development of study materials department at the Supreme Council of Universities approval dated 25/02/1991 and the Ministerial Decree No. 156 dated 06.03.1991.
